Sherly's Desk... Well, this was I in my childhood days but when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and when I asked God to give me His wisdom to study well and excel in my exams, God gave me His wisdom. I wrote many exams and scored high marks. Hey, God does not want you to live in fear and misery but He wants to bless your life and your education. David says in Psalms 119:98-99, "You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation." Are you afraid of your exams? Are you thinking that you are unable to study well? Ask Jesus to come into your life. When Jesus will come in He will help you. He will give you His divine wisdom and make you wiser than your teachers. You may be wondering what will be in the "Kids page"? Of course you will find Bible stories beside that lots of fun filled games, quizzes, travel to the world and historical events. So don't forget to check back often. Games page is in under construction, it will be up soon. So check back. Yours
in Christ David Once upon a time there was a little boy named David. He was a shepherd. He used to keep his father's sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, he went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against him, he caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. David was a mighty man who killed both lion and bear. The LORD, delivered him from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear. One fine day he was keeping his father's sheep then he got news that his father wants him at home. He went home were Samuel a prophet of God was sitting. God had told Samuel, "Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons." Samuel heard the voice of God and came to Jesse's house. When Samuel looked at Jesse's son Eliab and said, "Surely the Lord's anointed is before Him." But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." So Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, "Neither has the LORD chosen this one." Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. And he said, "Neither has the LORD chosen this one." So Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, "The LORD has not chosen these." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Are all the young men here?" Then he said, "There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here." So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!" Then Samuel arose and anointed David to be a king of Israel before his brothers and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. Thus God chose and anointed David to be the king of Israel because he walked in the ways of God. He loved God with all his heart. Whenever he used to keep his sheep, he would play music and sing praises of God. But soon Saul the king of Israel became his enemy and it was not easy road before David. He had to run for his life. Many a times Saul tried to kill him but could not because God was with David who protected him. If
you walk in the ways of God, He will protect you and He will exalt you
before others just like God did for David.
